Edward Lear (1812-1888), Zoological Draughtsman, Landscape Painter, Traveler, Musician, Painting Instructor to Queen Victoria, author of The Owl and the Pussy-cat and Father of Nonsense Literature. His versatility, productivity and individual creativity were extraordinary.
Enjoy a ‘work in progress’ showing and a discussion of this new
cabaret show inspired by the life and work of
Edward Lear.
Lear described Nonsense as “the breath in my nostrils”; it is absurd,
insightful, hilarious and often melancholy.
This production is being developed for five to eight year olds and their
families.
