“Blak Nite is a really significant cultural event and one of the funkiest in the entire festival. I’m incredibly proud to have Blak Nite as top of the bill in Come Out 2005 and look forward to seeing you there!”
Come Out Festival Director Sally Chance
“Hey you mob! Blak Nite is havin' a goin' away party.”
You, your friends and family are INVITED!
Blak Nite is the event where young Indigenous people showcase to their peers, family and community what they do best in traditional and contemporary dance, music, hip-hop, comedy and visual arts. In preparation for our big move, we will run workshops for young Indigenous people in aerosol art, design and performing arts in metropolitan and regional precincts.
In true Blak Nite style we’ll be funk’n it up for Come Out’s closing night at the biggest house warming party of the year!
Thank you to: Kerri McIllvenny and Ray Kelly from the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Board of the Australia Council.
