Arts Ambassadors Update 16
April 10th
Happy holidays to everyone! Here are some last minute Come Out 2007 opportunities to consider.
Dance
Did you know that May 7 – 12, the first week of the Come Out Festival, is also National Dance Week?
Come Out 2007 features two fabulous dance works. Reckless Valour by Quantum Leap (ACT) is at the Festival Theatre in the first week of the Festival, while Rebel Rebel by Restless Dance Company (SA) is at the Odeon Theatre in the second week of the Festival. Go to www.comeout.on.net for more details.
Reckless Valour can be packaged up with (1) a post show forum led by Merrillee Chignell from the Australian War Memorial AND (for SACE students) (2) a dance workshop led by company members. Bookings for the forum are at Come Out on 8267 6920, while bookings for the workshop are at Ausdance on 8212 0825. The workshop costs $10 per student.
Artists from Ausdance are also teaming up with the Adelaide Festival Centre to offer 2-hour Dance and Visual Arts Workshops. Places are still available on Friday May 11 at the 9.30 and the 12.30 workshops. Bookings are by fax to BASS on 8211 8620.
