Kym Lardner (vic)
Kym Lardner is among the funniest children’s storytellers Australia has ever seen.
At Come Out 1981 Kym performed his original stories to groups of children on the lawn outside the Adelaide Festival Centre foyer. A man, a guitar and an incredible insight into what tickles kids’ funnybones.
26 years later – and with the same energy and infectious humour – Kym returns to Come Out as a storytelling phenomenon.
Experience what Mem Fox called a ‘brilliant multi-faceted’ entertainer.
He’s widely known and loved in Australian schools, with ABC recordings, picture books and videos on sale at ABC Shops around Australia. His hilarious stories are about to be heard in America and his first book has just been translated into Japanese.
Come Out 2007 will be a triumphant return to his home town.
“I fell on the floor laughing.”
Ryan, age 12.
