Lady K (SA) - a come out 2007 new commision

Lullaby admits us into the intimacy of our own child’s journey from wakefulness to sleep.

Part performance, part concert, Lullaby reflects a child’s eye view of nightly rituals through lullabies from around the world. The soothing refrains evoke bedtime cosiness and play, and sometimes the tingle of a night-time monster under the bed!

Lullaby is performed in a light, open space and there is no complex story line. A captivating mix of song and movement makes for a perfect, gentle first-time performance experience especially for young children. There’s plenty for parents too, who will recognise their own joys and frustrations when helping a child off to sleep!

Astrid Pill and Zoë Barry, two of Australia’s most experienced performers for children, weave together a series of vignettes in a performance that is an absolute treat for young children and their families.

After the show, use the Lullaby set as a place for children to play and adults to rest.

“Zoë & Astrid are a powerful pair… it will lead to a rich & rewarding experience for children and their families.”

Dave Brown, Artistic Director of Patch Theatre
