Restless Dance Company (SA)

If you could remake the world, what would it be like? What would you change and what would you keep?

Rebel Rebel is intoxicating dance-theatre; noisy, dangerous, hilarious and replete with idiosyncratic characters who tell it like it is.

Showcasing the energy and power of Restless Dance Company and with Dj Tr!p live on stage, Rebel Rebel will explore rebellion as a strong, creative and exciting force.

Inspired by a 70s documentary about ultracontroversial UK punk band The Sex Pistols, the work will generate the anarchic spirit of that rebellious era, when rage rocked the streets and a critical mass of people responded to the call.

Creative acts of rebellion are nothing new! Historically, movements in the arts, fashion and music have explored identity, control, action and reaction.

If you could remake the world, what would you throw out?

Be there to find out!

“Expressive powers of this quality remind us of the transcending power of the arts”
