Jigsaw Theatre Company (ACT)
Through the eyes of playful Nikki who returns to the lighthouse she lived in as a child, and the anxious Mrs. Ingram who blows in from 1910, experience the joys and hardships of living in a wild and remote place.
Jigsaw Theatre Company has collected stories of children who lived on lighthouse islands and created a fun show filled with adventure.
With help from the audience, Nikki recreates her island and her family’s hair-raising journey there.
She takes us up in the tower to explain some of the children’s special chores, relives school that is “just me, my sister and Mum in the kitchen” and describes adventures across the island’s nooks and crannies.
Hold onto your hats! It’s windy out there!
“We had such fun watching Chrissie changing character and turning us into the rocks and the sea and the cliffs.” Liz Barfode, Executive Officer, ACT Pre-school Education
