Welcome to Come Out 2007!

Leonie Sawley

What fabulous opportunities Come 2007 has on offer for children, young people, teachers and communities! I invite you to join in celebrations of the arts, life, learning and our universal stories.

Immerse yourself in the Festival and its links to learning by engaging in the state wide projects, Allwrite!, the Come Out Power Guernsey competition and much more. Attend performances or events at the Festival Centre or invite performers, artists and writers into your school, site or community centre.

Use the Come out website to help you organise your active participation in Come Out 2007. You can book performances, register for projects and to receive updates on Festival opportunities as and when they occur, online. You can also download extra copies of the Come Out 2007 Resource Pack for Teachers.

Unearth your students’ creative potential, enhance their cultural, historical and social understandings and help them make real connections between learning across the arts and other learning areas by engaging in activities emanating from the Festival theme and program.

Click on the Curriculum and Come Out Resources tab on the ARTSsmart website to access support materials, assessment tasks, extra learning ideas and units, templates, web links and hints on creating your own community multi-arts events.

Lets work together to make Come Out 2007 a meaningful and memorable, fun filled experience! I look forward to working with you and meeting you at Professional Development sessions and Come Out 2007 events.

Please contact me if you have any queries.
