The Come Out 2007 Resource Pack for Teachers aims to support:
- students to engage in arts education as active participants in, and audiences for, arts performances and exhibitions of arts works
- students to achieve arts learning Outcomes and Standards
- teachers to recognise the quality of learner achievement in the arts and reference this against the SACSA standards
- teachers to interpret the Come Out 2007 theme, The Universal Story, and to enhance students’ learning by attending Come Out events: they become involved in state wide arts projects and plan their teaching and learning programs around the theme
- teachers to provide arts learning activities that align with the SACSA framework: they develop arts programs that are inclusive of the three strands: arts practice, arts analysis and response and arts in context
- teachers to develop assessment tasks to support student achievement: they assess students’ learning against the SACSA Outcomes
- teachers to provide links between the arts and learning in other Learning Areas, concentrating on the Essential Learnings and Equity Cross-curriculum Perspectives
- teachers and students to celebrate their learning in and through the arts.
